World War II Oral Interview Project
This project is the result of a unique collaboration between the Columbus Museum and the Shaw High Young Historians Club, which is sponsored by the Historic Columbus Foundation. During the past two school years, the club, directed by history teacher Phil Linn, has interviewed over two dozen local citizens who lived in this area during World War II. Their effort was the first local oral interview project to focus exclusively on the civilian experience during the war. The exhibition seeks to build on the information discovered in their work. Portions of many of the interviews are on view in the three kiosks in the Columbus Museum's gallery.
