Historic Columbus cordially invites you to
A Night In 2020!
You have traveled with us to Monte Carlo and Singapore, but we must stay home this year.
While we will not get together for a high roller evening at the tables, we hope you will consider turning
your patron package or individual ticket into a donation for Historic Columbus.
Historic Columbus’ Executive Committee has decided not to host our major fundraiser, A Night In, as a precautionary health measure for our patrons. As you can imagine, this was a difficult decision and one that will impact funding for both educational programming and preservation efforts.
By selecting to donate a patron package or individual ticket, you can ensure scholarships for our community’s children to continue their dream of college or provide grants to help save our community's historic resources. You can choose to designate your gift for one of these great programs or both!
The Patricia Jackson Howard Scholarship (up to $4,000) was established in memory of Patti Howard,
a long-time volunteer and the second HCF Executive Director. Her wish was that a scholarship be
awarded to graduating high school seniors based on merit and need. 29 students have received
scholarships in Patti’s name.
The Virginia T. Peebles Preservation Grant (up to $6,000) was established in honor of HCF’s third
Executive Director. Its purpose is to facilitate preservation projects for the protection of non-residential
historic structures. This grant has been the spark for 15 projects, including The Wynn House,
The Stewart Community Home, The Ma Rainey House, The William H. Spencer House, and
the Columbus Historic District.
