Historic Columbus assists teachers of all teaching levels in learning more about the rich history that Columbus has to offer. Each educational tour is tailored to meet the education level.
VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS
HANDS ON HISTORY
Students have the opportunity to bring the past to life by making crafts or doing work of children from long ago.

"DID INDIANS EAT PIZZA?"
The seminar focuses on the hunting and fishing techniques of Native Americans and actual samples of "Indian" food are passed around for students to try.

OFF-CAMPUS FIELD TRIPS
WE WILL PAY FOR BUSES FOR
MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOLS.
WALKER-PETERS-LANGDON HOUSE TOUR
Travel through time with a tour of the oldest house in Columbus. The tour consists of over 150 years of Columbus history. Through trained docents students learn about the homes and the families who lived there.
Limit: 50 students. Length: 1 hours. Grades 3- 12.

Tours may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather.
HISTORIC DISTRICT DRIVING TOUR
Full driving tour including the Columbus Historic District, the High Uptown area and parts of the Black Heritage Trail. Driving tour may be shortened by touring the original city only.
Limit: 1 bus. Length: 1 hours. Grades 3-12.

COLUMBUS' BLACK HERITAGE TRAIL
Full driving tour of the Black Heritage Trail. Possible stops may include touring the Liberty Theatre, St. James Church and Porterdale Cemetery.
